Frere Town Secondary School is a Sub-County Mixed Day School located in Kengeleni Zone, Nyali Sub-County, Mombasa County. Established in 2016 by the County Education Board (CEB), the school was built on a quarter-acre of land hived from Frere Town Primary School. It is registered under MOE
The school started with one stream and 109 students and has since grown to accommodate over 720 learners, fostering a diverse and dynamic educational environment. It has a team of 26 dedicated teachers, ensuring quality instruction, and 10 non-teaching staff who support its operations.
Despite its rapid growth, the school faces infrastructure challenges due to limited land, necessitating innovative strategies to enhance learning facilities. Through the committed leadership of Mr. Abdishakur Hussein Sheikh and stakeholder support, Frere Town Secondary continues to provide holistic education, shaping responsible and disciplined learners for the future.
